The great organ
of Seminario Pio XI Chapel
in Bordighera - Italy

Built in 2001/7 by Alessandro Giacobazzi, the organ includes the two restored instruments “Inzoli” (1927) and “Vegezzi – Bossi” (1943), previously built for S. Charles Hospital in Bordighera and Villa Spinola Hospital in Bussana. Many new stops were added in order to have a complete, powerful and magnificent organ. The instruments has been thought for use of the pupils of the Sacred Music Institute of Ventimiglia - Sanremo Diocese. The organ has two consoles, a four keyboards one (projected by Fernando Germani for his own home organ) and a three manuals one. The pipes are 3.500: the organ has an original and innovative disposition, displaying organ stops typical of english and american instruments (high pressure tubas; many percussive stops, etc).

Three concerts will show to public audiences this particular organ: the first will be broadcasted on Feb, the 2nd, h. 21,15 (italian hour). The organist Stefano Pellini will play works by Bach/Fox, Widor, Dubois, Yon, Bossi and many others.
